Seminar – Telematics in the 21st Century and Beyond

Telematics is on the edge of significant changes and has a significant impact on peoples’ lifestyle, information access and the environment. It is used by government agencies to ease traffic congestions, reduce vehicel’s carbon dioxide emission and to provide safety alert to users. Not limited only to Global Positioning System and automotive applications, Telematics is also widely used in home, industrial and personal spaces. With low power RF design and embedded processors, Telematics can provide a comprehensive platform for emerging applications such as eMetering, smart lighting, building automation and device remote controls. Telematics major concerns are security and privacy where an iron-clad protection is required. This requires robust security architecture and mechanisms for tamper detection.

NXP Semiconductors provides high performance mixed signal and standard product solutions that are used in a wide range of automative, identification, wireless infrastructure, lighting, industrial, mobile, consumer and computing applications. In this seminar, technical experts from NXP Semiconductors will provide updates on the latest trends and developments in the Telematics space, the needs & solutions of the Telematics industry.
